Disneyland Monorail

The Disneyland monorail was introduced in Tomorrowland on June 14, 1969. Walt Disney came up with the monorail idea for his park after seeing a prototype by a German company named Alweg. The Disneyland monorail was modelled after these original designs. The original version of the monorial train consisted of 3 train cars and was named Mark I. The original route was a simple trip around Tomorrowland.
